Dewey Meteer

Coach Meteer, USNA 1969, played for the 1969 Navy HoF team and served as Navy Rugby’s head coach from 1979 -1981. His teams were 2nd in the final National Collegiate Invitational Tournament in 1979, and 4th in the new USA Rugby D1A Collegiate Tournament in 1980. Dewy was appointed the first Director of Navy Rugby in 1981. From 1987 to 1990 Coach Meteer served as coach of the US Navy Select Side rugby teams during inter service competitions.
