Nikki Peoples

Nikki is originally from Milpitas CA in the Bay area. She served 20 years active duty as a Surface Warfare Officer in various underway and shore assignments including Navy Recruiting and as OPNAV southeast region Director for Outreach and STEM Initiatives. She currently works for the Southern Nevada VA Healthcare System as a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a published author and active in martial arts. Nikki was the starting center on the Navy Women’s Rugby original team in 1996 and captained the 1997 team. She was selected as Navy Women’s Rugby first All-American. Her efforts in recruiting players was instrumental in getting the Women’s Rugby team established. After graduating Nikki continued an extensive rugby career playing for the San Diego Surfers, Atlanta Harlequins, South Rugby All Star team, Combined Services Women’s Rugby Team. She also played Australian Rules Football for the Womens National Australian Rules Football team.
