1983 Team

The 1983 Navy team posted one of the most impressive records in club history.  The team easily swept through the Potomac Rugby Union and beat both Army and Air Force scoring 219 points while only allowing 43.  The 1983 team continued their undefeated ways throughout the Spring, winning various tournaments and the Eastern Champions while yielding accolades from Rugby Magazine as “one of the teams to watch in 1983.”  Unfortunately, due to travel issues, the 1983 team started the National Semi-Final against Air Force a man down and lost 6-3, finishing third in the country.
